Support the ecology, shoot some wildlife!
Have you ever watched great wildlife documentaries from National Geographic Channel or Discovery Channel and wondered how did those naturalists get such incredible footage? Still, it is not easy to become an overnight wildlife documentary maker when one starts out as armchair naturalist. However, if one does not make it, it must not be for want of trying.
So sign up for our Wildlife Adventures and start your journey to becoming a topnotch documentary maker today. If that is too lofty, sign up to discover the inner peace offered by the forest. (”,)
3 days & 2 nights Endau Rompin Wildlife Adventure
SGD200
The price for this trek includes private transport, travel insurance, outdoor equipment, park entrance fees, and all meals. Our next scheduled trip to Endau Rompin is from 3rd - 5th November 2005. Please contact us if you would like to join us and we will furbish you with a detailed itinerary.
Endau Rompin Johor National Park is home to a huge variety of flora and fauna. Currently, only the eastern most region is opened to the public and it would take more than 1 week just to explore this area. Our 3D/2N wildlife adventure is a low intensity introduction to the rigours required of a naturalist.
Day 1 will consist of travel to the location, followed by registration. Next, we will have a demonstration of animal trapping and blowpipe hunting by the Orang Asli villagers of Kampung Peta. We will then proceed to Kuala Jasin campsite via a boat ride and set up camp for the night. After dinner, we will have a gathering for all our participants to get to know one another. Expect some fun and games!
On Day 2, we will trek to Upeh Guling and Tasik Air Biru. En route, we will stop at Kuala Marong campsite for lunch. We expect to return to Kuala Jasin by 5:00PM in time for some freshening up before dinner. After dinner, we will visit the Gajah Trail in an attempt to find luminous fungus that glow in the dark.
On Day 3, we need to rise early in order to start our rafting by 8:00AM. It will take us approximately 2 hours to get back to the ferry point. Upon reaching Kampung Peta, we will meet up with our transportation provider and begin the journey back to Singapore. We expect to reach Johor by 5:00PM latest.
If participants feel well rested enough, we would recommend making a trip to an Orang Asli kelong restaurant at Pasir Gudang a for truly sumptuous seafood dinner! This seafood dinner is not part of the wildlife adventure package but it is really affordable and it will not cost more than RM30 per person for a table of 10.
